Holiday Help-A-Thon December 12th, 2009
Inspired
Elf Holiday Campaign Aims to Create Successful Memories for the
Underprivledged
With an outpouring of support from multiple local
sources, including businesses small and large, the Inspired Elf Holiday
Campaign is but one example of how people can come together and help others in
need.
Despite an unprecedented economic downturn, the
average American citizen has a life better than that of 90% of the people on the
planet. Recognizing this, we still have families living in our communities who
have been hit hard, and this event is meant to show they are noticed, cared
about, and supported by their community. Even when the need so far outweighs
resources, it is still important to do what we each can. Take this event as a
beacon, a light, or an imperative...we encourage you to do the same in your
community. If we can do it, so can you.
With a focus on what gives people strength, this
event focuses on the unique strength of families to support and love each other
through even the most difficult circumstances. Whether it's decorating cookies
together, having a picture to look back upon, or receiving a modest gift to help
celebrate the season - it's all done with helping show support for families.
The event will be held on December 12th, 2009. Doors open at 1:00pm and
close at 4:00pm. St. George's Parish is located at 5224 Minnetonka Blvd in
Minneapolis, MN 55416.
